About This Project
A homeowner in Sewall's Point, near Stuart in Martin County, called Palm Beach Plaster to correct the drywall finish on a custom spiral staircase. The previous drywall work had left the edges lumpy, bumpy, and uneven. The customer wanted crisp 90-degree edges and a smooth, consistent slope that followed the staircase's curves. Restoring those lines required countless tiny corrections, careful trowel work, patience, and the judgment of a highly experienced finisher. Each edge and transition was worked precisely to refine the profile without losing the flowing shape of the staircase. The photos show the completed drywall correction; the video shows the before-and-after transformation. The surrounding renovation is still in progress. We will return later to apply Venetian plaster to the staircase surfaces — that decorative finish is not yet applied in these photos.
